The clan consists of the following members: Baptiste Dechamps (Hanbē 半兵衛, Daisho), Claudya Salmaso (Sakichi 咲希地, Daisho), Sōsuke Matsushima (Sōsuke 創介, Daisho & Bow), and Guido Neubert (Ishirō 郎, Daisho). I met Baptiste and Sōsuke in an online forum dedicated to Japanese swordsmanship. In 2002, purely for fun, we founded the Clan of Etsu. The years passed, and what began as a pastime evolved into a serious commitment. In 2019, I met Claudya, a Capoeira teacher from Brazil, at an event in Munich. In 2020, she joined the Etsu Clan. 2013, proficient in the use of the katana, wakizashi, and bow.
We also do haiku, sumi-e and Ishiro began to learn maki-e in winter 2025. We all love to collect beautiful, antique items from muromachi till meiiji period.
